Meet your testing team.
Rachel
Member, Tester, Office Manager Hello! I'm the voice you'll usually hear when you call our office, and you'll often see me out testing as well. I've been working with the company in one form or another since the year 2000, starting with administrative work for my father when I was 14, followed by testing, and eventually taking over for him in 2010. I've learned that providing friendly, knowledgeable service is key to what what we do, and I'm committed to making sure you can rely on this when working with us. I've lived in Portugal, moonlighted (moonlit?) as a farmer in Scotland, and make a mean Jack Rose. Jacob and I have two growing kiddos and live on a small farm. When I'm not doing backflow work, I like to take in live music, cook, play nerdy Eurogames, read, and plot the restoration of the native white oak habitat that our farm sits on.

Jacob
Member and Tester Hi, I'm Jacob. My background is in civil engineering, but I gave up my office job in 2013 to assist Rachel with testing as she built the business. I specialize in testing larger backflow assemblies, vault work, and repairs. I love that most of my testing work takes place in the great outdoors, and I'm proud to be part of protecting our region's drinking water. My days are spent on testing, property maintenance, caring for our two kids, farm chores, tapping bigleaf maples for syrup, processing firewood, and restoring the native upland prairie and white oak habitat on our farm (ask me about prescribed fire!). I also attend the occasional pub quiz (geography is my specialty) and do some sewing in my spare time.

Roland
Former Owner I served as owner of the company from 1998-2010. My mechanical engineering background helped me gain a good understanding of backflow testing and all its intricacies. During the time I owned the company, I served as president of Oregon's chapter of the ABPA, a group of backflow professionals dedicated to advancing the cause of safe drinking water for everybody. I'm often told my standards are very high, and it's true! My daughter Rachel, who started working for me in 2000 and bought the business in 2010, has maintained our tradition of quality service, and continued our legacy of technical expertise. I'm proud to see this important work continue. Rachel and I still talk backflow from time to time, and I continue to lend my expertise and natural curiosity to helping solve the occasional backflow quandary.
