Notes on the above resources:
- The Repair FAQ is a great starting point if you have a failing assembly. It goes over rebuilds vs. replacements, who's allowed to perform repairs, and general information on DIY repairs.
- If, after reviewing the FAQ, you decide you'd like to attempt a repair yourself, the Rebuild Guide offers guidance on how to move from failure to a (hopefully passing) retest.
- The Manuals and Videos section of our repair library offers model-specific information provided by assembly manufacturers. These are a great resources for anybody embarking on a repair.
- Anybody performing a repair is responsible for following all applicable plumbing and safety rules. Due to the serious dangers of low oxygen in large underground work spaces (such as utility vaults), DO NOT attempt a DIY repair in a vault. Please consult a repair company with the equipment and knowledge necessary to safety enter a vault following OSHA's confined space rules.
